Beauty

When we look in the mirror, the first thing we always see is our nose. I should say, there are many few people who are very satisfied with their nose. It is considered as either too big or too small, sometimes we hate it because it is such a roman nose!

However, we should remember that ” our nose is our character. It is who we are…”.

Hence, starting today make peace with your nose! Pay attention to its needs and do not let it freeze in cold or burn under the sun.

Keep in mind that, uncared-for nose shadows your beauty.

Nose pores can be visible because of the presence of blackheads. Blackheads are a product of your pores becoming blocked by oil and needing cleansing. In this case:

• Trying to clean with hearsay methods may cause infection
• Beauty saloons might be a time consuming and expensive option.

As time goes by, we look forward to more practical solutions everyday. This is where the Nose Pore Strips come in. They are hygienic, practical, easy to store and effective. Once used regularly, nose pores are far from creating any unpleasant situations.

For best results, 2-3 times a month would help you to see perfect results. Using the strips more often might cause skin irritation or increase skin sensitivity.

Have a healthy and a happy day…

Winter skin care

Nature has its own way of keeping the balance. Following a hot summer, autumn rains fill up our aquifers. Trees drop their dried leaves and get ready for the winter via peeling…

As a vital part of the nature, humans are no different. Our skin becomes dry as it loses too much water and oil during summer. Hence, we also need peeling in order to get rid of dried skin. Another  way to heal the skin is to keep it moisturised and clean with plenty of ph 5.5 water.

You may also call it “Indulging your skin”…

There is a common misunderstanding regarding the implication of the moisturisers. A 50ml cream does not moisturise your skin for 2 months but helps you to increase the moistrising level and capacity of your skin(especially face). Applying the moisturising cream  on dry skin does not do the trick alone since it has to be applied on moist skin in order to keep the moist level.

The right way of applying is another important point. You should apply with fingertips, moving horizontally for better results. Of course, prior to this you should identify the right mositurising cream for your skin type.

Middle aged and above also require oil for the skin; however, excess oil should not be left unattended. Hence, clean the excess oil via a soft face towel carefully.

Remember, excess oil closes the pores on your face which might result with lipomas. Lipomas cause discomfort in addition to esthetic concerns.
Air pollution is higher during the winter and as a result our skin is effected more during winter. Face peeling every two weeks would be a good way of keeping your skin pure.  Also quality face masks would definetely complete your facial skin care. Skin care during the night is always better since your skin would have the adequate time at night to rest and remember skin renews itself at night like most parts of the body.

Do not forget to clean your make up every night. Sleeping with make up prevents your skin from daily renewal.

Talking about night& sleep, make sure your room is light proof during the sleep( You can alternatively use a sleep/eye mask).  The darker it is, the better you sleeping quality would be; which will help the renewal to be better and faster.

And finally, water water water…

Do not forget to drink water to renew not only your skin but your body as well. No external material would ever make the effect of drinking water…

I wish you a happy and healthy day,

Seeing

Our eyes are the windows to the world.

Even though we smell, hear, taste and touch; we can not do without seeing. Although, our eyes are essential to help us in the performance of our daily activities, do we pay enough attention to eye care ?

Unfortunately the answer is “NO” for the majority…

Generally, people do not pay close attention to the eye hygiene and eye care. In addition to ordinary cosmetics that are applied inappropriately, people choose to wear cheap, decorative glasses/sunglasses which might even lead to blindness.

Both glasses and sunglasses should be purchased based on the comments, suggestions and prescriptions(where necessary) of your optometrist. Generally patients choose to follow the instructions for prescription glasses; however, it is commonly seen that, sunglasses are still to be considered as fashion items. Unfortunately, these “fashion items” are far from protecting your eyes from the suns’s harmful effects.

Public surveys show that, individuals pay more attention to the brand rather than the effectiveness and glass specs of the sunglasses.

Especially young generation intend to purchase 10 decorative sunglasses in order to match with their outfit instead of buying 1 or 2 with higher lens & protection specs.

Experts underline the increase in eye problems in the recent years due to considering prescription glasses and sunglasses more of a fashion item. Especially, fake frames and ordinary lenses from far east which can be found nowadays in every dollar store are threatening your eyes.

So how to choose the right glasses ?

First of all, I am not telling you to wear an ugly model, which do not fit your face or that is against the fashion. However, make sure that the glass lenses block at least 99% of UVB rays and at least 95% of UVA rays. Remember! Excessive exposure to UV radiation may cause a variety of problems for your eyes such as cataracts, burns and even cancer!

A quality frame with the right glass lenses increases comfort as well as your sight. An interesting tip for the ladies, it is seen that avoiding excessive sun exposure helps to avoid wrinkles as well…

Thanks to the glasses lens technology, polarised and photocromic lenses are becoming popular due to UVA and UVB filtering by adapting to the instant change of sun rays. Also, Polar PHD lenses are becoming more common in Europe and the States.

Please keep in mind that, darker lenses do not necessarily indicate better protection or the lighter lenses offer better visibility. It is all about the quality and the specs of the lens. Prior to your purchase, make sure that specs and the use of the sunglasses match your expectations. (driver lenses and etc)

You don’t know what kind of a sunglasses you need ? The best way is to get professional help. Consult your optometrist and find out the best option for yourself.

I wish you a happy and healthy day…
