Sun might be dangerous

Those with skin pigmentation disorders, should be very careful under the sun. Let’s have a look at the most common pigmentation disorders and see how can we possibly avoid these disorders:

– Melasma

Is a tan or dark skin discoloration.

Possible Causes: pregnancy, menopause, birth control medications.

– Vitiligo

Treatment of this type of color changes(with chalk white color) are almost impossible.

Possible Causes: Stress, genetic reasons, diseases of the immune system.

Although the treatment is unlikely, before going under the sun, use of bergamot is recommended.

– Ephelides (Freckles)

These are basically 5-6mm brown lesions that appear on nose, cheeks, back and hand. Appearance of the volume may be exaggerated through the effect of the sun.

30 minutes before sun exposure, application of a high factor sun cream (UV filtered) is highly recommended. Direct sunlight, especially during the mid day should be avoided if possible.
